One more week until I get to see The Who live. It's going to be great, my friend and I are going to have an awsome time. I found some bootleg video clips from some of their recent concerts, here they are:
My Generation, Hyde Park, July 11, 2006
Pinball Wizard, September 23, 2006 Baltimore, MD
Behind Blue Eyes, Hyde Park, July 4, 2006
The police were at my school today because last night somebody painted some threatening grafitti on the outside of the college. I didn't see it, but I heard that it said "I kill tommorow at 9:00". What a sick prank.
More generally, the atrocities of 9-11 serve as a dramatic reminder of what has long been understood: with contemporary technology, the rich and powerful no longer are assured the near monopoly of violence that has largely prevailed throughout history. Though terrorism is rightly feared everywhere, and is indeed an intolerable "return to barbarism," it is not surprising that perceptions about its nature differ rather sharply in the light of sharply differing experiences, facts that will be ignored at their peril by those whom history has accustomed to immunity while they perpetrate terrible crimes.

Terror and Just Response
I'm now into my second week back in College. So far it's pretty interesting and not too hard. Right now I'm working on a group presentation about the history of Monastic and Cathedral Libraries, a short paper on my experience with libraries, and I've already finished my first assignment - a runaround of the Grant MacEwan LRC.
I got a wireless card for my laptop, so I can access the internet from anywhere on campus which is great. Between that and my cell phone, there's not much reason to ever go home.
