Folk Fest DVD

I bought a DVD that was shot of last years Edmonton Folk Music Festival. It's great, it has performance footage of Michael Franti and Spearhead (by far my favorite performance on the dvd), Natalie Merchant, Great Big Sea, Blue Rodeo, Spirit of the West, Ani Difranco, and more. I'm really in the mood for the 2005 festival now.

An ex friend

Yesterday while I was watching the Klondike Days Parade, on the other side of the street I saw a former friend of mine who stabbed me in the back a couple years ago. I guess she works in one of the buildings that's attached to the building I work in. As shitty as what she did to me was, and as low as my opinion of her is now, I do kind of wish I could take back the last thing that I said to her, which was kind of harsh. But since I could never bring myself to approach her now, and she would never approach me ... on the slim chance you happen to stumble upon this, and you know who you are, I DON'T forgive you for the shitty way you treated me, but I am sorry for how I reacted.

Folk Fest Meeting

I had a folk fest volunteer meeting last night - it's getting close to that time of year again. It looks like anonther good lineup this year, I'm particularly looking forward to Oysterband, Steve Earle, The Johnny Clegg Band, Alpha Blondy and The Solar System, and Alison Krauss and Union Station. The Food Network is filming a tv show in the Kitchen this year, which is Western Canada's largest temporary kitchen, so I might have to upgrade my cable package to catch that.
