Tattoo Consultation

I had a consultation at Ritualistics today for my Gonzo Tattoo and put down a deposit. The artist had a last minute cancelation and could have done the tattoo this afternoon but I had to work. I should have called in sick and done it, because now the next opening she has is April 28! Oh well, I guess I can wait. It's being done by the same artist who did my first tattoo.

Blonde Easter

Three blondes went to Heaven on the same day and showed up at the pearly gates. St. Peter looked them over and said, "Well, before you can enter the gates you have to answer one simple question, to show you know something about why you're here."

The first blonde stepped up to the gates, and St. Peter said, "Now, explain to me, what is Easter?" The woman replied, "Oh, that's easy. That's the holiday in November, when everybody gets together to give thanks, and eats turkey, and..."

"Wrong," replied St. Peter, "You'll have to wait." He turned to the second blonde and said, "What is Easter?" The second blonde replied, "I know, Easter is about Jesus. In December, when we put up a nice tree, exchange presents, and celebrate His birthday."

St. Peter shook his head in disgust at the second woman and sighed. He turned to the third blonde and said, "You look a little smarter than the other two... Now, WHAT IS EASTER?"

The third blonde smiled and said, "I know what Easter is. Easter is the Christian holiday that takes place in the spring. Jesus and his disciples were eating at the last supper, and He was deceived and turned over to the Romans by one of his disciples. Then the Romans took Him to be crucified and stabbed Him in the side, made Him wear a crown of thorns, and crucified Him. He died, and was buried in a cave sealed off by a large boulder." St. Peter smiled and nodded.

The blonde continued, "And every year the boulder is moved aside so that Jesus can come out, and if He sees His shadow there will be six more weeks of winter."

St. Peter fainted...

Assasination of Richard Nixon

Yesterday my team at work was treated to a buffet lunch for winning a contest. We also each received 2 movie passes.

So today I used one of my movie passes to go see 'The Assasination of Richard Nixon'. It stars Sean Penn and is based on the true story of Sam Bicke, a a desparate man who's life is falling apart. He sees Richard Nixon as the personification of all that's wrong with the world, so hatches a plot to hijack an airplane and fly it into the Whitehouse. I thought it was a great movie.

Sick

Uuugh I feel horrible - I think it's food poisoning from the pizza I ate last night. So I won't be doing much today, I guess I'll put off making that tatto appointment at least till I'm feeling better. Ok, I'm going back to bed now.

Woo hoo, vacation

I have a much needed week off work. I wasn't able to actually confirm that I did indeed have the week off until today. I had to go in to work to find out weather or not I had to work this week. Actually I found out on Wednesday that I was scheduled for vacation all last week, but since nobody ever notified me of that and nobody was able to point me in the direction of a time machine to go back and take the previous 2 days off that I wasn't supposed to have worked, my team leader was able to move my vacation to this week.

I'm going to see my sister in Medicine Hat on Friday - Sunday, other than that I'll probably veg out and try and get some web work done. And I might see if I can make an appointment at Ritualistics for a tattoo consultation - I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of Hunter S Thompson's Gonzo logo.
