Today I attended an anti-poverty rally in Churchill Square. There was a terrific speaker named Harry Glasbeek, who is a Proffessor and Corporate Lawyer who has written books such as "Wealth by Stealth: Corporate Crime, Corporate Law, and the Perversion of Democracy". My favorite quote was when he said (I may be paraphrasing a bit) "0.1% of the world's population is stinking rich. They're rich and they stink. Lets get them". He is also giving a lunch hour talk at the University of Alberta on Tuesday, I just may have to drag my ass out of bed early enough to go see him. There was also live music, including Bill Bourne, who played both "The Times they are a Changing" and Blowing In the Wind" by Bob Dylan, which was pretty cool.
